Kim Brown Seely is a freelance writer and journalist living in the Pacific Northwest. Kim writes about adventure, nature, people, and the exotic corners of the world for a number of national publications. She is a contributing editor for Virtuoso Life magazine. Her work has also appeared in National Geographic Adventure, Travel & Leisure, Town & Country, Sunset, Forbes FYI, and National Geographic Traveler. Prior to becoming an independent journalist, she was a founding editor at Microsoft’s online adventure magazine, Mungo Park; travel editor at Amazon.com, and spent more than 10 years as an editor at Travel & Leisure in New York, NY.
Kim has covered stories in Alaska, Antarctica, the Amazon, Argentina, Costa Rica, Fiji, Canada, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Rwanda, Uganda, and the United States. She specializes in writing about the earth’s wild places, and in inspiring families, especially, to get out and explore.
